You
may be aware that there is a God... but do you know Him?
Can we know Him?
Does He want to have a relationship with us?
If
you should die today are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven?
If you should die and stand before God and He asked you
why He should let you
into His Heaven, would you have
an answer?
If
you have settled these questions and are enjoying a relationship with
God then praise Him for
writing your name in the Lamb's Book of Life. If not, let's look at
what God has to say about our relationship with him.
You are a sinner
As
it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10
For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Wherefore, as by one man
(Adam) sin entered into the
world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon
all men, for that all have
sinned.
Romans
5:12
The price of sin
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is
eternal
life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans
6:23
There
is a way, which seems right unto a man,
but
the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs
14:12
For
what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the
whole
world, and lose his own soul?
Mark
8:36
The Good News
Christ Jesus came into the
world to save sinners.
1 Timothy 1:15
...though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as
white
as snow;
though they be red like crimson,
they
shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18
For
God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten
Son, that whosoever believes in Him should
not perish but have everlasting
life.
John
3:16
But
God demonstrates His love toward us, in that
while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans
5:8
What do I do?
That
if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God raised Him
from the dead,
you will be saved. Romans 10:9
...Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall
be
saved, and your house. Acts 16:31
He
who believes on the Son has everlasting life: and
he who does not believe the Son will not see
life; but
the wrath of God abides on him. John
3:36
For
by grace are you saved through faith, and that
not
of yourselves;
it is the gift of God, not of works,
lest any man should boast. Ephesians
2:8,9
Most
assuredly, I say to you, He who hears my word
and believes on Him who sent me has everlasting
life, and shall not come into judgment,
but has passed from death into life. John
5:24
Jesus
said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life;
he that believes in me, though he were dead,
yet
shall he live; and whosoever lives and
believes
in me shall never die." John 11:25, 26
Respond to God's call
Behold,
I stand at the door and knock: if any man
hears
my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him...
Revelation 3:20
Behold,
now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2
Corinthians 6:2"
Prayer
"God,
I confess to you that I am a sinner. I believe Christ died for me and that His blood
will cleanse me from all my sin. By faith
I now receive the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart
as my Lord and
Savior; trusting Him for the salvation of my soul. Help me Lord
to
surrender every part of my life to you each day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen"
What's next?
Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
Romans
5.1
My
peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid. John 14:27
And
the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
Thou
shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your mind. Matthew
22:37
And
having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
Romans
6:18
Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28
I
go to prepare a place for you and, if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am there you
may be also. John
14:2, 3
